The SFP28 25G BiDi optical transceiver module adopts bidirectional data transmission on single-mode fibers. It provides 25Gbps over distances up to 10km. The BiDi transceivers are hot-pluggable, enabling an efficient network infrastructure.
Two different models allow seamless point-to-point connections using opposing wavelength configurations.
The modules are equipped with DFB laser technology, which includes PIN photo-detectors, as well as internal Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) on both channels, ensuring uninterrupted signal transmission. Based on a 3.3V power supply with power consumption of less than 1.6W, 25G optical transceivers ensure energy efficiency while allowing operational temperatures to range from 0 °C to 70°C. The simplex LC design of the receptacle facilitates efficient bidirectional data transmission through conventional single-mode fiber networks.
