The hardware interfaces can be configured to function as Boundary Clocks (BC) or Transparent Clocks (TC). These allow for tailored deployment options based on customer requirements. In integrating and refining PTP within the SONiC framework, achieving outstanding precision in its AsterNOS Enterprise Distribution, the 25G switches meet the criteria for PTP Class C, maintaining a maximum time deviation of no more than 10 nanoseconds.
